Plymouth Argyle Players at Their Best

Looks like Plymouth Argyle have decided to catch up with the rest of the country and write a blog during every match. They have also just added some very interesting photos of the players training in Austria to their site. I thought I would just add one to show the lads at their best.

Makes a nice change from only seeing their legs!

The Mighty Greens

Plymouth Argyle showed Bristol Rovers what football is all about this afternoon. As mentioned in the last post, when the two met last, Rovers beat Argyle 1-0. Todays match showed just how far Ian Holloway has brought the team forward in just one season. By half time Argyle were leading 5-1 with Rovers scoring just before half time.

The end result, with both teams scoring another 2 goals each, was 7-3. It was great training for the fans who seemed to be out of their seats more than in them. And the team were able to put into practice what they had been working hard on since the end of the season.

Now we have the season to look forward to and a lot more victories for the Green Army.

In Training

As players do, we fans need some training before the start of the season. Maybe not as much as the players do as we don't have to run around after the ball for 90 minutes, but we do need to get our singing voices into tune and practice waving our arms.

My training starts today, one week before our game with Hull, at Home park to watch the friendly between Argyle and Bristol Rovers. This was also the match which acted as my training for last season. Rovers played in PINK and it must have dazzled our players as we lost 1-0.
This time around I don't think they will have the pleasure of going home with a win. We will be showing the tack tics and skills we have learnt since the end of the season and running rings around The Rovers.
